Dr. Jamie K. Anderson is a highly skilled and compassionate veterinarian with a broad range of experience. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2011. After graduation, she completed a surgical internship at Chino Valley Equine Hospital, specializing in thoroughbreds. She then worked in mixed animal practice at Strasburg Veterinary Hospital in Colorado for two years before transitioning to small animal medicine and surgery at Park County Animal Hospital in Breckenridge, where she practiced for six years.
In 2020, Dr. Jamie returned to her passion for mobile veterinary care, launching her own practice. In 2022, she and her family relocated to California, settling in Pacifica and South Lake Tahoe. She currently serves the Reno-Tahoe area, offering appointments on Sundays.
Dr. Jamie’s love for animals began early in life, often bringing home stray cats as a child. She started riding horses at age seven and was active in 4-H in Minnesota, competing in pole bending and barrel racing throughout high school. Later, she joined the CSU polo team and has enjoyed training in hunter jumper and dressage disciplines.
Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, snowboarding and horseback riding. Dr. Jamie has a wonderful cat named Tuna and two terriers names Scarlett and Rupert. Her commitment to animal welfare and love for the outdoors make her a well-rounded and compassionate veterinarian.
